The Area and Culture

Lithuanians love beer and nature, and the LBW is a perfect expression of what Lithuanians generally revel in:  good food, good beer, genial companionship and exploring nature.

There are many different types of breweries in Lithuania, the most popular being Svyturys (Lighthouse), Utena, and Kalnapilis.

Lithuania is a lovely country, full of forests, many hiking trails and bicycle paths. It is one of the more technically advanced of the former Soviet Republics, along with the other 2 Baltic States.

Lithuania is centrally located; with the geographic centre of Europe just a short hop from the capital city of Vilnius. Paluse was chosen by us as a viable LBW site. It is located in the Aukstaitija National Park, and surrounded by 7 lakes. It is in the eastern portion of Lithuania, not too far from the Belarusian border.
